Hi Readers. Sorry for the inconvenience caused in the past few days. I have decided to start the blog "Bloggingtune.com" as a new one since I wanted it to be fresh. When I import posts there might be some problem. So I thought it is better to start it as a new blog. So do visit bloggingtune and Subscribe to it. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll try to blog in both the blogs. But mostly I will be concentrating on my new blog.

You Can Get Domains For Free - Really You Can

Most of you know that I changed from blogspot.com to my own domain two days ago. I got a domain name registered for two years and it has cost me $14.30 after using coupon codes. My friend Haris wrote a post on Free Top Level Domains few days ago, which inspired me to write this post.

I know bloggers who are in blogspot because they don't have money to get a domain. I was also one in that list but somehow managed to get a domain. So if you are in blogger blog, read this post carefully because you can get Domain and Hosting without spending a penny but you have to do other things like posting in forums.



The main reason why I tell people to move from blogger is because, most people treat it as a SPLOG and hence your subscriber count and Technorati Ranking will most probably increase very slow. One blogger who is very famous in blogspot is Amit. But it is very tough for everyone to get famous with blogger blogs. So change to a domain and WordPress as soon as possible(I'm moving this blog to WordPress soon).



Note: Though you don't have to pay anything, there are certain things which you have to follow to get a domain. So read them carefully.

5 Reasons Why You Should Do Paid Reviews:

Now before I tell anything, let’s think for a moment the reason why we all blog. Is it to get connected with friends? Is it to gain popularity? Is it to show others that you can also blog? Or is it to earn money? I’m sure many will say yes to the last question. Even though you start blogging for any other reason, 90% you will end up earning money. Out of the many opportunities to make money, paid reviews is one famous way. The 5 main reasons why you should do paid reviews are:

But the reviews you do, offer value only when the product is of your niche. Also when doing paid reviews, you should write both pros and cons, else your readers will get irritated. If you review a site or product and if you are paid for it, mention in the post that you are paid. So whenever you get a paid opportunity, grab it if it is of your niche.

3. Get Traffic From Search Engines:
Products are searched in the search engines like Google everyday. But not all the searchers get the information they need. So when you are writing a review, include keywords that are searched in search engines. Say, you are asked to review a Nokia certain model Cell Phone. Yes the heading is right, there are chances for you to try out the product. I have seen offers in Sponsored Reviews where I can try the product and then do the review. But not all reviews are like this. There are few advertisers who will give you the opportunity to try a product. Say you are asked to review about a membership site. You can’t do a review unless you have tried it. So the advertiser will you the chance to try it out and then review.

5. You Get Something To Blog About:
There might be days when you don’t know what to blog about or you don’t have anything to blog about. At these times you can do a paid review. You might have a posting frequency like one post per day. Say, you don’t have just anything to blog about one day. When you feel like that, do a paid review. There are always so many reviews available in Payperpost.

Now you know the 5 reasons why you should do paid reviews. What if your blog is not accepted in those sites due to some reason? You can still earn by doing reviews. Moving To A Domain Name- Bloggingtune.com

I happily announce that this blogspot blog http://daily-tech-news.blogspot.com/ will be http://www.bloggingtune.com/ in 1 or 2 days. I have been having this plan for the past few days. I got cash few days ago after winning a contest organized by Betshop Boy. This cash helped me get a new domain. And thanks to Nirmal who helped me in registering the Domain.

Bloggingtune.com will come to effect soon. I'll be moving it WordPress and in the mean time, if there is any problem, please be patient and continue to visit my blog. I have so many plans for the new blog. You can expect something good from me. Continue to support me and my blog. I will catch you all through my new blog. Thanks to all the readers and my friends.

Result Of The Poll: When Will You Show Your Subscriber Count?

I wrote this post called The Right Time To Show Your Blog's Stats which led to the poll. The poll was started 15 days back and I also posted an update about the poll few days ago. I expected this poll to get 50 votes but I got 5 less than the number.

The poll had the result that I expected. The question was: When will you show your feedburner subscriber count? There were 6 options for it. The options and the number of votes for it are as follows:

Daily Tech News - Winner In $77 Contest

Betshop boy had a contest for celebrating the special date, 07|07|07. The rules was to write a review about his blog and give links to few of his post. Also you have to subscribe to the feeds and post a picture of it.

The prizes were $77 for one blog and $7 for 6 blogs. Luckily, this blog got the $77 prize. Thanks to Betshop Boy. He announced the winners two days ago. I was surprised to see my name on the $77 winners.

I had set a goal to earn $50-$75 this month and already $77 has come to my paypal :D Maybe I can hold a contest very soon(small contest). But this money will be helping me in getting a domain and a host. I'll be blogging on two blogs from next month. I'll update you with my new upcoming blog.

Changed To A Different Theme

I have been blogging with blog for the past 2 months and I have changed the theme twice. First I had a theme which blogger provided. It was useless and the look was very bad. So I changed to a WordPress like theme. It was the one which I had before and it worked well. I liked the theme. The previous theme was there for nearly 50 days and now I decided to change theme.

I was browsing JackBook Dot Com today and found WordPress themes for the new blogger. I liked this theme than the other over there. So I switched to this theme. I did a mistake by not importing the widgets present in my previous theme. I did one by one after making the move.

Advantages of this theme:

1. Comments can be made in one click. The comment form of blogger will be present under the story when you click on the story title. You don't need to click on Post Comment anymore.

2. You can see the Contact Me and Subscribe option in the navigation bar next to Home. So this gives more exposure to the Subscribe option. I hope this will have an impact on RSS Readers.

3. This theme looks simple and I can have blog rolls at the bottom of the theme so that it won't disturb the readers.

Disadvantages of this theme:

1. I can't place AdSense in between posts. Maybe there is a way to do it in this theme. But I'm no good at CSS or HTML, so I'll have to ask the creator of the theme about it.

2. I cannot have a big header and can only have a logo now. You can see a "D" Logo which denotes the Starting letter of this blog.

Update: The previous theme had few problems and I had to change the template again. Now you cannot comment in single click because it caused the problem. Other than that, this template has all the features of the previous template.

Error In Technorati Showing All Blogs Ranked 1- Do You See It?

I was browsing Technorati today. I wanted to see which bloggers had linked to me yesterday. So I made a search to for my blog and surprisingly it was ranked ONE. Technorati has errors now and then. Sometimes the "Technorati monster will run away". This time they ranked all the blogs at first place. Now every blog is like Engadget which is actually at number one :D My blog displayed the following results:

It is only a small error and Technorati will get back from it soon. So if you want to see your blog ranked at first place, go now quickly and see. 5 Reasons To Use A MyBlogLot Widget:

1. You can know who visited your blog recently. There might be certain people whom you would want to read your recent blog post. You can know it by seeing the widget.

2. It shows which bloggers visit your blog very often. There might be few avatars, which you will see on top every 2 hours. Those are your valuable readers and they won’t miss a post in your blog.

3. You can find the “regular reader but not a regular commentator” type of bloggers who visit blogs many times but don’t comment. If you see a person many times in the widget and not commenting, you can contact the reader and tell them that their comments are needed.

4. You can develop readership and get good number of subscribers using the widget. I have seen bloggers who send me a message to my MyBlogLog when I visit their blog for the first time. If you can do this, then you are on the way to increase subscribers and daily readers.

Get Your Pownce And 8Apps Invites

Blogging Goals For The Month Of August

If you want to achieve success, you have to set plans and goals. You should have a main goal. This main goal should be achieved by achieving small goals every day or every week or every month. My main blogging goal is to become a well-known blogger. To achieve it, I set small goals for every day. But I can't write it as a post everyday. I have a handful of goals for this month and plenty of To Do's everyday. Let me list out my plans for the Month of August.

1. To get 200 subscribers

2. To get linked by at least 5 A-List bloggers

3. Get my Technorati rank to Top 20k

4. Get my Alexa rank to Top 100,000

5. To get 30,000 page views

6. And coming to earnings, I wish to earn $50-$75 this month

I might reach few of these goals before the month ends. At that situation, I'll extend my goals and make a post about it.

Apart from Blogging Goals, I have plans to implement few things. Yesterday, I asked Links of your best blog. I'll be linking to good blog posts of my blog readers once or twice a week.
